The U.S. Long Term Ecological Research Group was created to promote collaborative efforts between nationwide research groups dedicated to ecology issues, focusing on population studies, organic and inorganic patterns, and site disturbances. Their home page provides information about their programs, participating researchers and students, general ecology data, and a map of ecosystems across the U.S. that the LTER is investigating, with information about specific regions and satellite photos. Data catalogs and research materials, organized by project focus, are also included.
